"Sicilia" is an ode to the sky over Marettimo, a tiny island off the western coast of Sicily. I am enamored with the Mediterranean sky, telling the story of dawn over the sea in this dramatic, warm, poetic painting. It is one of my most enthralling Ascension paintings, bearer of its own light.  The painting is cradled in a simple natural wood floater frame, adding about 2 centimeters of each side of the painting.
