"Earth angel" was a departure painting... a departure into a free flowing abstract expressionism, very intuitive and spontaneous. While all of my works are expressive, the loose brush strokes and energy in this painting convey energy and vitality. This is one of the most recent paintings in my 2021 Italy studio series, and is a symphony of earthy, alive greens and soft light filled lights. It bears my trademark movement upwards, towards the sky, towards the light, towards life. It moves in an every-changing dance on the wall where it is hung.
Painting this piece was pure joy. Exciting. Free.
