"Coming home in the dark" is a painting that is very dear and heartfelt for the artist. It is an expression of living through doubt and uncertainty, and following intuition... following the light through the enveloping dark. It is painted with a deep indigo base and select iridescent oil paints, giving it an unearthly sheen, subtle yet powerful. It is also made using extensive point brushwork, like tiptoeing across the canvas. It has immense depth and light. It looks like a beacon.
