"Eternal Etna" is a dramatic abstract landscape with a bright dynamic sky and fiery palette of crimson, umber, and gold. It was inspired by the ever-flowing volcano, Etna, in Sicily. While most of my work is inspired by the elements of air and water, fire also calls to me. This painting is a dramatic statement piece on the wall, with windswept sky and hints of bright light blue and yellow on an earthy backdrop.
There is NO BLACK in this painting (I do not own black paint), but instead passages of deep chromatic grays. It is a gorgeous painting over a sofa or bed. A sweeping atmosphere across the wall.
